DANCEFORMATION is an Australian specialised contemporary dance program and company, founded in 2021. We cater to dancers aged 17-28 yrs who are passionate about advancing their contemporary dance skills. Danceformation is based in Sydney, Australia.

Each dancer will receive a a complimentary Foam Roller, Thera-band, and T-shirt.

Specialising:

​

• Bridging Program: That will elevate your dance training with internationally acclaimed contemporary dance techniques and performance experiences. Our program specially integrates evidence-based movement methodologies and exercise science principles that will further enhance each dancers technique and artistry required to be a successful contemporary dancer.

​

• International Repertoires: Unique opportunities to learn and perform two international company repertoires and three creative works in the mid-year showcase and end-of-year production, choreographed by established artists from America and Europe.

​

Broadening:

​

• International Training Standards: Experience a curriculum that mirrors top international contemporary dance schools, colleges, and companies.

​

• Expert Faculty: Learn from a faculty selected for their extensive training in international dance colleges and companies. They will prepare you for a successful dance career.

Program Details:

​

• Days: Tuesday & Wednesday

• Times: 8:30am - 3:00pm

• Location: DUTI Studios, Newtown

• Commencement: February 4th, 2025

• Duration: 3.5 school terms (with NSW term breaks)

• Optional: 2 terms if planning to move or audition abroad in July

​

Independence:

​

• Flexible commitment allows for exploration of other training, auditions, freelance contracts, and work opportunities. Ideal for dancers awaiting professional contracts or international college placements, as well as needing to maintaining physical form for auditions abroad.

​

About the Director:

​

Georgette Sofatzis-Xuereb

Exercise Science Practitioner, Clinical Pilates Instructor, and Professional Contemporary Dancer. Georgette integrates anatomy, biomechanics, and contemporary dance techniques to enhance freedom of movement, performance consistency, and injury management. With extensive international experience, she offers a high standard of training that reflects her years of work with American masters and major dance companies.
